Safari Chic with Lane Bryant

Coming in hot today (literally) with a summer outfit option that isn’t a dress (what?!) and also will transition into cooler weather. Lane Bryant has some great new arrivals right now I’m sharing a subtly safari-influenced look.

This top is as comfortable as a plain tank or tee, but the square neck and subtle print add a lot of sophistication. I chose to wear it tucked in, but it could be worn untucked as well. It would be cute with a pair of jeans and a cardigan, or even worn under a black suit. It’s available in Lane Bryant’s new extended sizing – sizes 10-40.

The linen pants are a perfect summer staple, and the wide-leg silhouette is my favorite for pairing with slimmer-cut tops. These have an elastic waist with drawstring, offering a lot of comfort. I appreciated that the rise was pretty high so I could wear them higher on my waist, which is my personal preference. They also have them in multiple colors (eyeing the white ones) and are also available in petite sizes.

Styling idea: This outfit would look great with a denim jacket or cardigan in cooler weather. You could also add a long, gauzy duster for a bit of extra sophistication.

As always, Lane Bryant has some great coordinating accessories. Bracelets for larger wrists, rings in bigger sizes, and sunglasses that work on wider faces. The snake print ring goes up to size 11, which I loved since that means I can wear it on multiple fingers. These black geo cateye sunnies are in heavy rotation already.
