OOTD: Plus Size Business Outfit

I know many people interpret dress codes differently. In my mind, “business” means either a nice top and skirt/pants, or dress, plus a blazer. Business casual would be business attire, without the jacket.

This is what I came up with. It’s a blazer and top from Lane Bryant, with pants from ELOQUII. The shoes are my favorite flats, the Vivien flat. I have them in black and champagne, and they come in wide widths.

The pants are the Kady Fit pant from ELOQUII. They come in a lot of colors, and have different cuts. These are the Gina fit, which is cut a little fuller in the stomach and slimmer in the hips and legs.

I paired this merlot colored outfit with my rose gold print mask and mask chain from Amazon.

I love a blazer with denim as well, especially if you can roll or scrunch the sleeves.

This color of the Bryant Blazer is no longer available, but you can find it in black, navy, and a double breasted style. They do have a couple of purple or merlot blazers – this ponte peplum style is gorgeous, and this soft jacket with tie is a more relaxed, but still professional, option.

The swing top isn’t available anymore either in this print, but you can find some current versions of similar styles here.

I have to say, it felt odd to wear a business outfit again when everyday wear has been much more casual than I would wear in “normal” times. Plus, wearing a mask during meetings is a little odd.
