Festive Fall Outfit Idea + Wide Calf Boots

This look is the epitome of fall, which happens to be my favorite season. Give me all the ponchos, blanket scarves, and comfy things.

Poncho c/o Catherines
Ponte Knit Leggings c/o Catherines
Classic Riding Boots c/o Catherines

As someone who can sometimes struggle with feeling comfortable in anything other than dresses, this look is going to be a staple throughout the season. The leggings are very comfortable, but they’re thick and feel polished. These aren’t your worn-thin, oh-so-comfy leggings you’ve been wearing around the house for 5 years. There’s no fear of seeing through them, and they don’t stretch out as the day goes on.

The poncho is a perfectly classic color combo with just enough detail with the fringe on one side. The arms are open, so I wore a simple black top underneath it.

I know some of you are already looking for my wide calf boot post this year – I’m seeing a lot of traffic coming in earlier than usual for it! Happy to share this pair of very comfortable faux leather boots until I can get the full guide together . I’m 5’10, usually wear an 11W or WW, and my calf size is around 20-21″

Seriously, where is my hot cider?! For styling, if you’re looking to break up the big block of black at the front, you can add a long necklace. I actually had one on, but it was sandwiched between the poncho and my undershirt. Whoops! Still, on its own, I love the look.

Fit notes: I’m 5’10 and wearing the Catherines size 3X in the leggings, and the poncho is one size. Their 3X is the equivalent of a 26/28. I always find Catherines very true to their size chart.
